Sure would be nice if they'd finish the Interstate we already have (I-49 to New Orleans) before they start working on another one! I'm pretty sure I'll go to my grave before they build the Lafayette Connector. I'm 32.

This bridge replacement is severely delayed. Local priorities have seemingly changed. Seems like building the I-69 Red River bridge (further south) may have become a higher priority.

While Louisiana may be spending more money under Bel Edwards than Jindal, it still is short of funds and keeping most of them south of Alexandria.

The truss bridge may have missed THIS round of replacements.
