David Hahn's Bridge

Think I have a correction to make, however nit-picky it sounds.

If this bridge is located where it is listed on your map, it is not an "old alignment of 1066" though it very close to the "new alignment" of KY-1066 is. 1066 had a major re-routing when Taylorsville Lake was dammed. Where the old-1066 would have crossed Ashes Creek is now under the lake. The bridge is likely on Franklin/Eggen Rd (#57A on Spencer map, #18 on Nelson map).

I included .pdf maps for both Nelson/Spencer/Anderson Counties that show how it was before Taylorsville Lake. These maps were fairly old when the lake was made, but KY-1066 follows the path of 54A/54B on the Spencer map. It is labeled as 1066 on the Nelson Co map.

Both KY-1066 (Spencer Co) and KY-248 (Spencer/Anderson Co) had major reroutings due to the lake being built in the early 1980s. Another old bridge ("Goodnight Bridge" on KY-248 and/or New Liberty Rd in Anderson County) is also under the lake. Google Maps (search for Taylorsville and follow the lake) will give you a contemporary view.
