Sounds like a nice system. How about a better one that also detects overweight trucks and could be deployed on historic bridges to prevent overheight and overweight vehicles and would automatically deploy a spike strip? :)

Interesting new feature here. As part of Federal Stimulus funding an electronic height detection system was installed in March, 2010. This system detects over-height trucks (12') and attempts to stop them with special flashing lights.
