Neosho River-130th/135th Rd. Bridge

Photos

This is a ten panel, pin connected, Parker through truss bridge. The area to the south of the bridge is private property. The road from the north appeared to still be a public road as it was not posted as a private road, nor was it barricaded. The road does not appear to recieve much maintenance however, and would be impassable after rain or snow.

I just edited the status of this bridge which was listed as lost. The bridge was extant in 2005, and to the best of my knowledge remains extant.

Looks like the Neosho River flows with a lot more water since 1930.

I see the bridge is still being used to carry a pipe.

WOW, great postcard. It shows that the bridge has not been altered much in the years since, with the exception of the removal of the floor.

I have a postcard sent in 1930 of the Neosho River Bridge by my great great aunt on a visit to her old stomping grounds in Neosho Co.
