Miss Jane:
This bridge got spammed twice, but apparently our webmaster deleted that nonsense.
Granny Clampett? Her last name was Moses. And why would she refer to Jed as Uncle? I know their relationships get confusing up in the hills, but that's just silly. This must have been posted by an imposter.
And why are we posting our comments under a bridge that was not the one that got spammed?
Just don't kiss the bridge in the winter, might stick to it.
I now pronounce you Bridge and Wife...
Can somebody please get that glory spam crap off the comments page and activate the spam filter? Looks like someone is really desperate that he's trying to give the website a virus. Thanks!
I understand the beauty in these bridges, but trying to score dates with them is a little on the weird side...
Uncle Jed!!! Uncle Jed!!! We got good for nuthin' strangers spammin' on our message boards! City slickers, I tell ya!
Lemme go get Jethro, he got a sixth grade education. Maybe he can understand what they talkin' 'bout.
A video of the bridge and wreckage can be seen here:

On 8/15/12 the bridge was destroyed by a derailment, when it was knocked off the foundation. The line was reopened with in a week on 8/23/12 with the bridge being replaced.

I have not seen this bridge, nor found any records. Google Maps clearly shows a railroad bridge over the Marais des Cygnes River at this location.
