Wolf Creek Bridge

Description

"A special session was held Wednesday afternoon to let the contract for building an iron bridge across Wolf creek at the Richey farm, the old wooden bridge having become useless. A dozen different bids were submitted in the presence of nearly as many representatives of bridge companies and a very "interesting" session resulted. The contract was finally awarded to the Canton Wrought Iron Bridge Co. of Canton, Ohio, for $570. Another company represented by W. H. Robson bid precisely the same amount, but differences in specifications determined the result. "
