Work has been taking place to rebuild the roof of the bridge. The entire old roof has been removed, and the new one is being put together on the ground.
Since the money to repair the roof is not readily available I have started a Go Fund Me campaign to raise money to help get this repaired. The link is -

I hope you guys can help.
Sounds good Tom... The sooner the better!
Heres word from a March 15th online article from Eagle Country 99.3. It says the county highway superintendent says the county was accepting bids from construction companies to rebuild the roof, and hopes it can get it done in a matter of weeks. I hope I explained it right.
Photos shared by Tom Hoffman show the damage to the Otter Creek Bridge to be far worse than I thought. Not only is a large portion of the roof sheared off, but several upper lateral bracings have been broken. Fortunately some emergency supports have been installed to protect the spans overall integrity. Likely straight-line winds in late February were to blame.
I received word that the Otter Creek Covered Bridge received some damage from those high winds nearly two weeks ago. Found a link to the Osgood newspaper with that on front, but couldn't find the article to open up. Hope it's minor and repairs can be made soon.
Work is finished on rebuilding the roof, and the bridge is once again open to pedestrians.
