Originally built in 1838 as a double-barreled covered bridge over Big Raccoon Creek on what is now US 231. Later moved to Clinton Falls where it was rebuilt as a single lane span.

Photo #2 is of the Black Covered Bridge that was also in Putnam County.

When this bridge was rebuilt at Clinton Falls it had vertical siding and "Britton style" portals.
