White is only the intermediate coat... Nels says he believes the final color is Grey. I inspected a bridge that was painted White and it's nothing short of dingy looking now.
Nels/Nathan,
So much nicer in white than in 'rust'! Congratulations on completing the metalwork! I hope the railing is subtle and decking is elegant.

I'm happy I got to see it in its original location and walk across it for my birthday. I am equally excited to make a visit to see it completely restored.
Art,
Yes, the bridge will be painted.
This is only around 7 miles from the Dongola bridges and maybe 5 from the Flat Creek pony. While your in Petersburg, check out the Gil Hodges Mural in downtown. Cool road trip.
Nathan,
Thanks for posting!
I second Tony's comment!
Will the bridge be painted?

Awesome to see it minus all of the added "junk". Will look forward to a visit when it's complete!
I created a 2nd page for this bridge for its new home. Nels Raynor (Bach Steel) sent me photos of the assembly in progress in Petersburg. Dimensions shown on this new page match the dimensions of the bridge as shown on Jim Barker's plans.
Lovely restoration, miss the scenery that it used to be by, but glad it was saved. Also would have loved to see wood decking like it would have had as a road bridge, but I understand the use of the composite as it should last longer.
