Future prospects
Could be used for trail. This abandoned rail line has been discussed as part of the American Discovery trail, and/or an extension of the Sweetser Switch Trail or Cardinal Greenway to connect Marion with Bunker Hill and the Nickel Plate Trail. Maybe one day extend it to Logansport to that area's trails too.
History
Formerly carried a double tracked railroad line that ran from Chicago(via Logansport) to Columbus, Ohio and points East. Tracks taken up in early to mid 1980's. Original concrete facing has fallen off steel underside as well.

Steel stringer, heavy duty, but with concrete facing on sides and other areas. Most concrete facing has either fallen off, or been removed.
