Salt Creek Old IN 450 Bridge

This bridge has a lot in common with the former Rivervale (aka Buddha-Lawrenceport) bridge, with both having been built the same year, and from the photos here on the site http://bridgehunter.com/in/lawrence/4700038/ it even had the exact same plaque on it until it was replaced in '96. I grew up near the Rivervale bridge. I was a teenager when it was replaced.

This bridge is still intact but is on private property (I happened to stumble upon the owner, who was fine with me going up to take pictures). One of the names on the bridge is H.G. Kindred, who was the Lawrence County Engineer.

This bridge was closed recently. The new SR 450 bridge was built years ago. I guess the county did not want to maintain the bridges use for vehicles anymore.
