This is just so incredibly and extremely disgusting!Fair condition in 2016, and if structurally deficient by now, it could be restored for many years to come. The bridge is not horribly narrow. The US 27 rainbow arch in Portland may be a landmark, but so is this bridge. Don't know what state officials are thinking. Throwing away too many highway Parker trusses brings up the stress.

Since they let the 2 big bridges on IN-57 at Newberry go, there probably isnít a lot of hope for others. The 4 span one at Newberry was beautiful, but the new bridge was built downstream. Any issues with the 4 span Parker could damage the new bridge.

Is its doom imminent?

Based on Section 106 so far, and its Non-Select Status, it appears yet another one of Indiana's beautiful standard through trusses has a date with the dumpster.
