History
This bridge was probably constructed to replace an earlier bridge over creek. Later, Reservoir constructed (1956) and this bridge was probably built to handle new demands

Design
Built with small curve throughout bridge over the two spans. Small incline heading South from South approach that includes bridge. Indiana Transportation Museum volunteers claim excursion trains must be at 35 MPH to safely cross the bridge without damaging it. One wanders if train cars could safely stop on bridge without problems in event of emergency. Approaches have reservoir running alongside for some distance on both ends.
