Description
Trestle over Western and Grand Ave. as well as the White Water Valley Railroad. The Trestle has been the site of many accidents. Before the east end was rebuilt many collisions occurred with cars traveling south on Western Av. because the columns intruded on the street. In 1962 21 cars derailed from the B & O Railroad off the bridge when a car broke an axle. The interurban line just south of the trestle had a runaway car derail on a turn and run into the canal sometime about 1910.
