Description

The mill shown in the photo was the Eckert Mill built in 1865 and was the second mill at the site. It lasted until 1964 when it had to be dismantled due to flood damage. The present mill is known as the Jasper City Mill and was completed in 2009. It incorporated many of the features of the previous mill and uses French Burr stones that are 200 years old and many other original parts from a mill in Virginia.
