Description

Robert Smith appeared in person on July 14, 1870 to bid on this and several other bridges. He turned the erection over to the Wheelock Bridge Company and their patented wrought iron abutments may have been used. Bryan Ketcham noted in his book that plans were already being made as early as 1947 to replace this bridge, but it collapsed before a new one could be completed.
