I've uploaded some photos of the Gaumer bridge. The bridge was damaged in a 1994 flood and dismantled. That left the residents of Alvin living on the west side without an exit route out of town should a train be blocking all the crossings, so the citizens requested a replacement bridge. That came in 2002 at a cost of $1,108,160.
