Looking at the GM&O map from 1948 there are two places in this county where it crosses Salt Creek, just south of Lincoln parallel to old US 66, (street view shows a plate girder) and on an abandoned line running from San Jose south through New Holland. This line is shown as abandoned on the Delavan South, New Holland, and Middletown, IL topo maps (all 1980). A little over 1.5 miles north of Middletown the line crosses Salt Creek. A close look at the satellite image shows a likely pier at the crossing.
