Description 

Built as three span steel plate girder--construction started summer 1910; opened to traffic early 1911.Request for bids published in The American Contractor, Volume 31, April 2, 1910. Bids were due on April 4, 1910. Designed by Ralph Modjeski; construction supervised by Modjeski; built by Milwaukee Bridge Company. Superstructure replaced in 1972--Kor 10 steel. Original piers used in reconstruction. New abutments. Carries EB IL Rt 18.
