Lake Road / Woodbine Bridge
Posted November 17, 2014, by Rommy Lopat (weedpatch [at] gmail [dot] com)

City of Lake Forest / IDOT want to "repair" this bridge, which includes widening it in order to put a sidewalk on its east side where there is no sidewalk and never has been (and there is no sidewalk on the street to connect to) ie a bridge sidewalk to nowhere...

Do you know what rehab took place in 1978? And why do you say so many (ie 600) bridges were built in 1912--is that really true? Thanks!

Historic Preservation Commission Meeting is Wednesday night--just got agenda. Any info on how to keep it historic while using State/Fed $$ is appreciated.
