Description 

This bridge is built entirely of wood, resting on stone abutments. It was built in 1844-45 by William Smith and is of the lattice truss type. The main members are of burr and white oak. Note: the lattice members being of black walnut. Tenon joints are used throughout with white oak pins 1 3/4 round, driven thru the connecting members. Originally the shingles and siding were of walnut.
