CTA Des Plaines Ave Bridge
Posted March 22, 2012, by Gary Sprandel (jaidite [at] aol [dot] com)

There used to be a third bridge at that location between the CTA and B&OCT bridges about where the the CTA lot driveway is.

Until the mid to late 80's the Chicago Great Western railroad had a bridge there that also had the logo signs, unfortunately you can really make out any of the old right of way as things have been really reworked and not even the bike trail still runs on the old ROW save for right around the river just west of there.
