Description
Nothing but the abutments remain. This bridge served a road that was a major route until I-55 was built and cut the road off in 1964.
There was also a river bridge a short distance from the swing bridge, but its type is inconclusive. It appears to have been a simple bridge type of about six spans, and was not a pony or through truss.
