According to the "Heubringer's Map & Guide for the River-to-River Road", it carried the Muscatine Branch of the River-to-River Road that went from Davenport to West Liberty via Muscatine: https://archive.org/stream/huebingersmapgui00hueb/huebingers...

This is not a River to River Road Bridge. The River to River Road was much more northerly, near Wilton and Moscow. This bridge would have carried the Great White Way, and Iowa Primary 2.
