The original photographer is unconfirmed. Photos were acquired as negatives/glass slides at an estate sale a few years ago by another person. Someone else recognized the RR bridge as Clinton, Iowa. From that point it was possible to research the highway bridge thru the Clinton Historical Society which provided the photo and written history.

The is not the Lyons & Fulton High Bridge. That bridge is listed as the Lincoln Highway Bridge, and the other comments states, this is the Clinton High Bridge. It was replaced by the Gateway Bridge in 1956.

This is actually the south bridge, which connected East Clinton, IL with with Clinton, Iowa. The north bridge connects Fulton with Lyons. Lyons was a separate town just north of Clinton. It has now been annexed & is part of Clinton.
