1976? I don't think so, Tim. 1876? Hardly. The build date is obviously a typo, my guess would be that the seven should be a 2 or a 3. 1926? 1936? More likely than 1976!

A lack of a builder's plate on a pony truss in Iowa usually signifies it as a generic ISHC pony truss. These were the MOBs of their day.
