Description

In the late 1990's, GDOT announced plans to replace the bridge with a culvert. A public outcry thankfully canceled those plans. Since Curry Creek is a small creek, the construction of such a large bridge in the first place was likely intended as an elaborate gateway to the City of Jefferson having nothing to do with actual need.

Curry Creek Bridge
Posted February 27, 2010, by James Legg (talmo346 [at] hotmail [dot] com)

This is a really odd bridge with huge arch spans built for a river over a very small creek. This bridge is immediately south of the intersection of GA 15 Alt/82 and 335.
