Ladd Bridge
Posted January 19, 2016, by Jeremy Whitehead

It's still here in 2016, although it simply continues to deteriorate. The new Dollar General store has completely obliterated any trace of the old road it used to serve. I look at this bridge, a reminder of a time long ago, every time I head into Cartersville and wonder if it will still be here the next time I go by.

Actually, I would have thought that with several metal recycling facilities in the area, that it would have been torn down and sent for recycling by now.

I drove by this bridge friday (Oct 24)2008. The remnants of the deck have collapsed into Petitt Creek. Do not know how much longer bridge has before collapsing.

Does anyone know what road this bridge originally carried and the date of when it was abandoned?
