Per The Arcadian May 23, 2019: In the early 20th century, the Converse Bridge Co. of Chattanooga, Tenn., constructed an iron bridge.
In 1917, “when the old bridge went down under a drove of cattle ... it was repaired, but the job did not last long,” a report in the Dec. 5, 1919, newspaper noted
