GN - Old Cascade Tunnel (King County, Washington)
The Original Cascade Tunnel was finished in 1900 and was built to replace a series of 8 switchbacks used to get over the mountains. Deadliest avalanche in US history occurred March 1, 1910 at Wellington (western portal). 96 people killed.
