This was once part of the Chesepeake and Ohio of Indiana Railroad's line from Chicago to Cincinnati. Supposedly one of the most photographed bridges along the C&O route, but I haven't found any evidence to support that claim.

Another bottleneck to get past, you had to make sharp turns to pass under the bridge as SR 124 switched from one side to the other of track. Deck and girders removed but Concrete abutments remain. Area completely bypassed by new SR 124 alignment.

Camp Nelson Covered Bridge (Garrard County, Kentucky)
Built 1838 by Lewis Wernwag and survived the Civil War. Bridge was closed to traffic in 1926 when a truck broke through the bridge's deck. The bridge was demolished in 1933 and all that remains are the approaches and a facade on the north approach.
