Cloverleaf Railroad "Hill Track" Wildcat Creek Bridge (Howard County, Indiana)
Built to connect the Cloverleaf main line to Continental Steel, this bridge was removed sometime in the 1970's. Nickel Plate Road later accessed Continental via the Pennsylvania RR's Kokomo Belt to the East and this bridge was no longer needed.
Lost Timber stringer bridge over Wildcat Creek on former Nickel Plate Road Railroad(nee Toledo St. Louis and Western aka Cloverleaf) in Kokomo. Small ditch with it's own steel stringer bridge formerly located at East approach for Creek bridge.

Defenbaugh Street Viaduct (Howard County, Indiana)
Very low underpass that has been undercut many times to allow truck traffic to go under, finally destroyed by concrete truck and removed.. Another similiar structure on rail line just East of here has been removed.
Bridge over Defenbaugh Street with low clearance, mostly wooden construction. Damaged in truck hit, and partially removed July 2011..

Built to carry the Indiana Union Traction's line up and over County Road 100 West and the old Lake Erie and Western Railroad which parrallels rail line from Kokomo to Noblesville.

Markland Avenue Railroad Viaduct (Howard County, Indiana)
Single lane underpass with low clearance that was often hit by trucks causing misalignment. City of Kokomo tried for years to get Norfolk Southern(during their ownership) to put at grade crosssing. Central Railroad finally allowed city to remove.

Nickel Plate IMC County Road 100 West underpass (Miami County, Indiana)
Once part of the "IMC" division of the Nickel Plate Road running trains between Indianapolis and Michigan City. Abandoned in 1999, and railbanked. Indiana Trails Fund got ownership, later Nickel Plate Trail group, and converted into a trail.

Once part of the Peru and Indianapolis Railroad to connect those two cities(2nd oldest in Indiana), Later saw NYC trains use this line as well. Last used by Central Railroad of Indy RR before abandonment in 1999. IMC denotes Indy to Michigan City.

Nickel Plate IMC State Road 19 underpass (Hamilton County, Indiana)
Built 1936. On the second oldest rail line in Indiana, the bridge now has a walkway attached to the East(North)side of structure for trail from downtown Noblesville to Forrest Park. ITM runs excursions often over this bridge.

Unknown builder, replaced covered bridge formerly at this location. This bridge survived the great flood of 1913 due to Lake Erie and Western Railroad loading bridge down with loaded coal cars.

Nickel Plate Road Cloverleaf West Middleton Bridge Little Wildcat Creek (Howard County, Indiana)
This unique structure was rare as it not only had a creek it crossed, but an Interurban line as well(Indiana Railroad, Frankfort and Kokomo Traction, others). Was supposedly upgraded sometime in the 1980's for future traffic.

Nickel Plate Road Deer Creek bridge (Miami County, Indiana)
Built to carry the second oldest rail line in Indiana from Indy to Peru, later Nickel Plate's IMC division, railroad abandoned in 1999, today it is part of the "Nickel Plate Trail" from Cassville just North of Kokomo through Peru and onto Rochester.

Nickel Plate Road Fall Creek Bridge (Marion County, Indiana)
Part of the second oldest rail line in Indiana, this bridge helped connect Indianapolis with Kokomo, Peru, Plymouth, and Michigan City. Today Indiana Transportation Museum uses this line for excursions including the annual Indiana State Fair Train.

This bridge is located about where currrently Central Railroad's property ends and Norfolk Southern's begins on this line to Tipton that was once part of the Peru and Indianapolis Railroad one of the first in Indiana.

This bridge was probably constructed to replace an earlier bridge over creek. Later, Reservoir constructed (1956) and this bridge was probably built to handle new demands

Nickel Plate Road Prairie Ditch bridge (Miami County, Indiana)
This wooden bridge carried the former IMC division of NKP Railroad from Peru to Michigan City and was the start of a large grade in Northern Miami County. Arsonist burned the bridge in the 1990's and it was quickly abandoned. Charred pieces remain.

Wabash and NKP Railroad Broadway Street Underpass (Miami County, Indiana)
At one time, Wabash and Nickel Plate Railroad trains used to cross over this bridge on their journey through Peru. Later N&W Railway bought both lines. Later successor NS abandoned the NKP line, but Wabash line still sees dozens of trains a day.
