Zane's Trace

Zane's Trace was a frontier road constructed under the direction of Col. Ebenezer Zane through the Northwest Territory of the United States, in what is now the state of Ohio. Constructed in 1796 and 1797, many portions were based on traditional Native American trails.

Originally built 1909 by the Mt. Vernon Bridge Co. over Salt Creek on Zane's Trace (now Wheeling Road (TR 442)). Relocated 2000.
