Description 

Original construction contract for two bridges at Leupp was let to Omaha Structural Steel Works in 1917 for $42,470 ($5,000 for this bridge, and $42,500 for a bridge over the Little Colorado River.) but was voided by the Priorities of the War Commission Board due to raw material demand for World War 1.

The second, more successful contract was let to Nebraska Allied Contractors, Inc. in 1923
