See Yancopin Railroad Bridge Essay. The Benzel Bridge in time will be rehabilatated for use as part of the new Arkansas State Park, THE DELTA HERITAGE HIKING TRAIL. It will be 72 miles hiking trail running from Phillips County, through Arkansas County, and end in Desha County. Middle span being left in an locked up position for the time being to allow for river traffic. Several old houseboats appear to be abandoned along the shoreline. This is the last bridge across the White River before it hits the Mississippi River. Formerly built by the Missouri-Pacific Railroad. Railroad still intact going south from Snow Lake, Arkansas in northern Desha County. All rails have been removed from Snow Lake north toward Lexa, Arkansas in Phillips County.
