Hmmm... interesting mystery we got on our hands here. The Google Earth photo from 1997 seems to indicate that there was indeed a through truss at this location. It disappears by the next update in 2002... along with most of the houses in the area. Now there are very few houses here. I suspect some sort of urban renewal or general abandonment, but the April 8th 1998 F5 tornado swept through juuust north of here and obliterated pretty much everything, so I do wonder if that had anything to do with it.

A pedestrian MOB or wooden footbridge seems to sit at this site right now on the original bridge piers. I suppose we'd need to switch this to 'lost' unless the pedestrian bridge is notable enough to be listed.
