This bridge is quite unusual in the fact that the bridge's railings extend far beyond the bridge itself on the northwestern and southeastern ends. From the looks of the bridge's abutments, there seems to be an older bridge that used to be here. I also find that Alabama used to have beautiful concrete bridges with its ornate "arch" style railings.
